Careers: Invest in the Ground Floor, Rise to Partnership

Senior AI Programmer

RMI Media is hiring an AI Programming Lead to architect and ship production-grade AI systems that power our content, streaming, and monetization products.

You’ll own model/service selection and integration (LLMs, embeddings, retrieval, agents), design secure data pipelines and eval harnesses, and turn research into reliable features with human-in-the-loop safeguards. Working with Product, Growth, and Production, you’ll scope experiments, set success metrics (latency, cost/1k, quality/eval scores, uptime), and mentor a small team of ML/Platform engineers.

Ideal candidates have hands-on depth across Python/TypeScript, vector/RAG patterns, prompt and tool orchestration, cloud/containerization (GCP/AWS, Kubernetes), observability and CI/CD, plus a practical eye for ROI and privacy (CASL-aware). This role is based in British Columbia with North American collaboration; we offer founder-level ownership of roadmap, clear KPIs, and the chance to ship AI that creators and marketers use every day.

Requirements (Must-have)

  • 6–10+ years building production AI/ML systems; 2–3+ years leading small teams or tech initiatives.

  • Fluency in Python and TypeScript; hands-on with LLMs/embeddings, retrieval/RAG, agents/tool orchestration, prompt/eval design.

  • Experience shipping cloud services (GCP/AWS), containers/Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and cost/perf optimization.

  • Data privacy and security by design; human-in-the-loop quality controls; familiarity with CASL-aware workflows.

  • Strong product sense with measurable outcomes (latency, quality/eval scores, uptime, $/1k).

  • Eligible to work in Canada (BC-based or remote within Canada).

Nice to have

  • Vector databases, feature stores, streaming data pipelines.

  • Ad tech/monetization, media workflows (CMS/DAM), or analytics attribution experience.

  • Team management (hiring, 1:1s, growth plans) and cross-functional leadership with Product/Growth/Production.

  • Open-source contributions, publications, or portfolio demos.

Compensation (BC, Canada)

  • Base salary: CAD $150,000–$200,000 (posted to meet BC pay transparency guidelines; final offer based on experience).

  • Variable: 10–20% annual performance bonus.

  • Equity: Meaningful options aligned to impact and seniority.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive extended health, dental, and vision coverage; employee assistance program.

  • RRSP matching (employer contribution) and life/disability insurance.

  • Time off: Minimum 3 weeks’ vacation to start, paid sick days, and BC statutory holidays.

  • Flexible work: Hybrid in Greater Vancouver or remote within Canada; home-office/equipment stipend.

  • Learning & growth: Annual professional development budget, conference support, and dedicated “innovation days.”

  • Work/life: Flexible hours, wellness stipend, and parental leave top-ups.

We’re an equal-opportunity employer. If you’re excited about the role but don’t meet 100% of the requirements, we still want to hear from you.

Sales Manager

RMI Media is seeking a Sales Manager to build and lead a revenue engine across Canada and the U.S., selling our AI-enabled media products, production services, and streaming/monetization solutions.

You’ll own the full funnel—ICP definition, prospecting, outreach, pipeline hygiene, forecasting, and deal execution—while developing partner and sponsorship channels with clear playbooks. Working closely with Marketing, Production, and Growth, you’ll translate client goals into scoped proposals, align pricing (SaaS tiers and services), and negotiate contracts with an eye on margin, retention, and expansion.

Success looks like a predictable pipeline, disciplined CRM usage, accurate quarterly forecasts, and repeatable wins across agencies, brands, and creators. Ideal candidates bring 5–8+ years in media/SaaS or ad-tech sales, a track record of beating quota, strong storytelling, and comfort selling into cross-border accounts; role is based in BC (hybrid) with North American travel as needed.

Requirements (Must-have)

  • 5–8+ years in B2B SaaS, media, or ad-tech sales; consistent record of meeting/exceeding quota.

  • Full-cycle selling: ICP definition, outbound prospecting, discovery, solution scoping, pricing, negotiation, and closing.

  • Proficiency with CRM (e.g., HubSpot/Salesforce), pipeline hygiene, and forecasting; comfort with MEDDIC/BANT or similar.

  • Experience selling cross-functionally with Marketing/Production/Growth; able to translate goals into clear proposals and SOWs.

  • Strong commercial acumen (margin, retention, expansion) and executive-level communication.

  • Based in BC or willing to work Pacific hours; eligible to work in Canada; travel across North America as needed.

Nice to have

  • Sold sponsorships/brand partnerships, subscriptions, or production retainers.

  • Familiarity with AI/LLM solutions, ad ops, or creator/agency ecosystems.

  • Channel/partner development experience and procurement/InfoSec navigation.

Compensation (BC, Canada)

  • Base salary: CAD $90,000–$130,000 (posted to meet BC pay-transparency rules; commensurate with experience).

  • Variable OTE: 40–60% of base (on bookings/revenue + accelerator for over-achievement); expected OTE CAD $150,000–$220,000.

  • Equity: Stock options aligned to impact and seniority.

  • Commission plan: Clear tiers, clawback protections tied to churn thresholds, and quarterly true-ups.

Benefits

  • Extended health, dental, and vision; life & disability insurance; Employee Assistance Program.

  • RRSP matching (employer contribution).

  • Time off: Minimum 3 weeks’ vacation, paid sick days, and BC statutory holidays.

  • Flexible work: Hybrid in Greater Vancouver or remote within Canada; home-office/equipment stipend.

  • Professional growth: Annual learning budget, conference support, and sales enablement resources.

  • Work/life: Flexible hours, wellness stipend, and parental leave top-ups.

We’re an equal-opportunity employer. If you’re excited by the mandate but don’t check every box, we’d still love to talk.

VP Operations

RMI Media is hiring a VP Operations to turn our cross-border engine into a predictable, scalable machine.

You’ll own end-to-end delivery across AI Integration, Production, and Streaming & Monetization—standardizing pilot→launch→renewal workflows, SLAs, and QA with human-in-the-loop safeguards. Partnering with Sales and the AI Programming Lead, you’ll stand up capacity planning, utilization targets, and margin management; build finance operations (billing/collections, GST/HST/PST remittances, monthly close, forecasting, and unit-economics reporting); and formalize vendor and hiring processes for Canada and the U.S. You’ll lead risk and compliance (CASL-aware communications, security/access controls, incident playbooks), implement a lightweight rev-ops stack (CRM, CPQ, BI), and publish executive dashboards that tie activities to revenue, margin, and cash runway. Ideal candidates have 8–12+ years scaling ops in media/SaaS/services, strong commercial judgment, and a track record of building systems that compound. Based in British Columbia (hybrid) with North American collaboration.

Requirements (Must-have)

  • 8–12+  years building/scaling operations in media/SaaS/professional services,      with ownership of delivery, finance ops, and vendor management.
  • Proven      command of unit economics (margin by line of business, utilization,      pricing), quote→contract→invoice process, and Rev-Ops cadence (CRM      hygiene, forecasting).
  • Experience standing up monthly close, billing/collections SLAs, and tax remittances (GST/HST/PST) for a Canadian entity; comfortable coordinating with CPA.
  • Cross-border operations savvy (Canada/U.S.), CASL-aware practices, and basic      security/access controls; able to steward enterprise readiness (SSO/SLA,      questionnaires).
  • Systems builder who can implement and drive adoption of CRM/CPQ, PM, and BI tools; strong change management and people leadership.
  • Based in BC (hybrid) or remote within Canada on Pacific hours; eligible to work      in Canada.

Nice to have

  • Prior ownership of services + SaaS P&L; experience in production/creative ops or ad-ops.
  • Familiarity with AI/LLM product delivery and human-in-the-loop QA workflows.

Compensation (posted for BC pay-transparency)

  • Base salary: CAD $140,000–$180,000 (VP Ops scope) with flexibility      if role tilts toward COO-level ownership.
  • Bonus: 10–20% annual target tied to margin, on-time delivery, utilization,      DSO, and forecast accuracy.
  • Equity: Stock options commensurate with scope and impact.

Benefits

  • Extended health, dental, vision, life & disability; Employee Assistance      Program.
  • RRSP matching (employer contribution).
  • Time  off: Minimum 3 weeks’ vacation to start, paid sick days, and      all BC statutory holidays.
  • Parental leave: Top-ups aligned with BC norms.
  • Flexible  work: Hybrid in Greater Vancouver or remote within Canada; home-office/equipment  stipend.
  • Professional  development: Annual learning budget, conference support, and quarterly  “ops improvement” days.
  • Wellness:     Monthly stipend and flexible hours to support work/life balance.
